VW launches 62.8mpg Scirocco eco Bluemotion Technology 2.0 TDI
Volkswagen eco "BlueMotion technology" tweaks his Scirocco 2.0 TDI to improve the economy and 62.8mpg CO2 emissions 118g/km.
All Scirocco models equipped with the 138bhp oil-burner will now feature the improvements, the stop-start and battery include regeneration systems. Before the change was 55.4mpg economy and 134g/km CO2 evaluated in models equipped with a six-speed manual transmission.
The changes are also equipped to 138bhp Scirocco 2.0 TDI with six-speed DSG gearbox. Economy improves from 51.4mpg to 57.6mpg and 129g/km of CO2 is reduced to 145g/km.
VW has also improved changes to the version of the 168bhp 2.0 TDI engine in the Scirocco GT, the economy from 53.3mpg to 54.4mpg and 139g/km 134g/km CO2 drops in six-speed cars revealed.
