Ford launches 2012 Mustang Cobra Jet
The Mustang Cobra is a classic version of Ford's sport, known worldwide for its power and aggressive forms. Now, according to the site Mustang Daily, the model will gain a new version, called Cobra Jet, developed to run the NHRA (National Hot Rod Association, which conducts drag racing in the U.S.).
The Cobra Jet Mustang was first introduced in 2008 at the SEMA Show. In 2010 he received the Ford improvements, including launch control, limiting system of spins and engine with aluminum block. Now, in its 2012 version, it continues with the 5.2 engine aluminum 430 horsepower, but the brakes and front and rear suspensions were retired. Moreover, the model also now has more color options.
There will be a 4.0 supercharged engine, optional, capable of generating 500 horsepower. According to the site, with the propeller model meets a standard of proof of sprint 402 meters in 8s0. The price of the 2012 Mustang Cobra Jet was not disclosed, nor its release date.
