The most powerful compact car: Audi RS 3 Sportback details - price - photos
Audi is expanding the RS series for another model, the RS 3 Sportback. With 340 horsepower, the new top version of the A3 is the future's most powerful high-volume compact car to be in this country.
A sport suspension lowers the body of the RS from 3 Sport Back to the A3 by 25 millimeters. The new top model rolls on cast aluminum wheels with 19-inch tires sized 235/35 front and 225/35 rear. As standard they are machine polished titanium look, optional in black to have a red rim. The internally ventilated brake discs have a diameter of 370 front and rear of 310 mm. The four-piston calipers are painted in glossy black and equipped with RS-lettering. The electronic stabilization system ESP has a Sport mode and can also be switched off completely.
From the front, the RS can be seen 3 Sport Back on a modified front end with large air intakes, a radiator grille in diamond look, and xenon plus headlights with LED daytime running lights. Flared front fenders, prominent side skirts, mirror housings with a matte aluminum finish and a large roof spoiler dominate the side view. A glossy black diffuser insert and two elliptical exhaust tailpipes sharpen the look at the rear. RS-3-lettering adorn the single-frame grille and tailgate.
The interior is decorated entirely in black and decorated with some RS-3 logo. The sports seats have covers made of Nappa leather with silver contrast stitching, the inlays are available in Piano finish or the new "Aluminum Race" on hold. The multi-function sport leather steering wheel is flattened at the bottom. Standard equipment for the RS 3 Sportback include the Sport button, a rear parking aid, automatic air conditioning and a CD radio. As extras offered include front bucket seats, a roof rack with a matte aluminum finish and styling packages in black or matte aluminum. The market is the RS 3 Sport Back in spring 2011. The starting price will be € 49 900.
