2011 2012 Opel Antara updated: From 2011 with more powerful four-cylinders
Opel Antara revised. The off-road vehicle received new engines, a modified front, a modified interior and a revised suspension. The new engine range includes two diesel engines and a petrol engine. The manual and automatic transmissions have also been developed.
The previous 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine is replaced by a 2.2-liter engine. The 2.2 CDTI is offered in two levels: at 163 and 184 hp. That is 36 or 34 hp more than its predecessor, which also was available in two capacities. is the 163-hp engine is either in combination with front-and four-wheel drive. The more powerful diesel is only available with four driven wheels. Both engines can either be ordered with a manual or an automatic six-speed gearbox.
