SsangYong Korando introduced the pre-production crossover
At the Motor Show in South Korea, the company presented a prototype model SsangYong Korando next generation, which is the development of another concept car - C200. The design of these machines differs clearance headlamps, another front bumper, new rear bumper with integrated tailpipes of the exhaust system, a modified grille and rear lights.
SsangYong Korando Crossover Concept is equipped with two-liter turbo diesel power 181 horsepower (maximum torque - 360 Nm), which is likely to pass on production model. Along with the diesel prototype Korando C was announced and fully electric version, equipped with lithium-polymer battery for car traffic for 180 miles. According to the manufacturer, the maximum speed of the electric car is 150 kilometers per hour.
Note that the prototype C200 was previously presented in three versions - with a diesel-hybrid power plant, 175-horsepower diesel engine and 1.8-liter gasoline engine. It is possible that these units will also be offered for commercial Korando the next generation. As previously reported, this car can be ordered as a front, and with all-wheel drive, as well as versions with six-speed "automatic".
In South Korea, sales of serial SsangYong Korando is scheduled to begin later this year.
