Nissan: recall to 2.1 mln autos
Nissan and its Infiniti luxury division will hold a recall involving approximately 2.1 million cars around the world. The reason for the call is a potential problem in the ignition system of models, which can cause the engine to stop without warning.
Vehicles affected by defective component are the Nissan Armada and Titan produced between 2004 and 2006, Frontier, Pathfinder and Xterra models manufactured between 2003 and 2006, Cube, March (Micra) and Tiida. Infiniti, the vehicle can also contain the flaw is the QX56.
According to the Japanese, 834,759 cars are affected in Japan, while 761,528 are in North America, 354,170 in Europe and 194,409 from China and Taiwan. The replacement of the component, the company says, takes about 25 minutes.
