Toyota is recalling eight models in Europe - Recall List

Toyota has taken place after the recall in the United States is now known that eight of these European models. If the vehicles can cause a malfunction in the operation of the accelerator pedal. The affected vehicles, the pedal in rare cases it may be difficult or is not in the usual speed return to the starting position. In isolated cases, may leave the pedal in the actuated position.
This affects the Aygo (February 2005 - August 2009), the iQ (November 2008 - November 2009), the Yaris (November 2005 - September 2009), the Auris (October 2006 - January 5, 2010), the Corolla (October 2006 -- December 2009), the Verso (February 2009 - January 5, 2010) and Corolla (November 2008 - December 2009), and the RAV4 (November 2005 - November 2009). The exact number of affected vehicles will still under investigation.

The throttle problem occurs because there may be wear and tear on the affected part. This progressive wear, in conjunction with various external factors lead to increased friction in the pedal mechanism.

Toyota has already developed an appropriate countermeasure. This is currently being reviewed. Once this review is completed, Toyota will notify the customer as well as all other stakeholders about the action and its implementation
